Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
Since the new traffic light system was introduced for entering England last month, please disclose.
1. How many arrivals, who are self-isolating at a home in your force's patch. you have been notified of.
2. How many quarantine checks you have carried out in that time, with a breakdown for each day.
3. How many arrivals you have found who were not adhering to those rules to self-isolate.
4. For those who were caught flouting the rules, please disclose how much they were fined.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted within Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police as there have been no such instances.
Outside of the act, it should be noted that prior to the introduction of the traffic light system the Home Office contracted private security companies to carry out the quarantine referral work previously referred to the force. Referrals are now only made to Police where enforcement is necessary.
