Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

Would you please provide, for each of the years 2012/13 to 2017/18, a combined total for the number of Fixed Penalty Notices and/or Traffic Offence Reports (as applicable) issued for the offence of cycling on a footway (under section 72 of the Highways Act 1835), broken down if possible into sub-totals for:
- fines paid,
- fines/FPNs/TORs cancelled,
- cases referred to Court for prosecution and/or recipients of TORs opted for court proceedings,
- cases disposed of in any other way, and
- cases with resolution still outstanding.
