Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

- How many fixed penalty notices (FPN) have been handed out since 2010 across SR postcodes to cyclists for "inconsiderate cycling" on pavements.(Schedule 3 and Section 51 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988)(Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835).
- If no FPNs have been issued, what approach is being used by Northumbria Police to deter cyclists from breaking the law.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police.
- Our system can only search for a period of 6 years. Searches made have revealed that there have been no such offences recorded by the police in the SR postcode.No information held.
