Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1. The number of DrugWipe products purchased and total spend incurred for these products by Northumbria Police during:

b. 2019

c. 2020

d. 2021 (as far as data is currently available)

 

2. The number of Drager products purchased and total spend incurred for these products by Northumbria Police during:

a. 2018

b. 2019

c. 2020

d. 2021 (as far as data is currently available)

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Procurement Department of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

 

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

 

1a) 2018 – Purchased 2,175 wipes – Total spend £27,742.80

1b) 2019 – Purchased 575 Wipes – Total spend £12,360.30

1c) 2020 – Purchased 1,250 wipes – Total spend £20,605.60

1d) 2021 (as far as data is currently available) – Purchased 200 wipes – total spend £4,024.80

 

2a) 2018 – No Drager products were purchased

2b) 2019 – 228 Dragers purchased – Total spend £41,280

2c) 2020 – 3 Dragers purchased – Total spend £758.10

2d) 2021 (as far as data is currently available) – nothing purchased so far.
