Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows, however the following caveats should be noted:-

  • To define a suicide or homicide, the relevant flag on the record on the force system has been used.
  • We do not have a separate flag for a natural cause death or accident.  As such we would not be able to provide this data.
  • It should also be noted that the force systems currently hold gender as Male, Female or Unknown.
  • Ages have been calculated based on the date found, not the date missing.
