Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

For the calendar years 2018-to-date, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013

1. How many accidents involving mobility scooters have been reported to the force?

2. Can you please break this down and list the reasons for the accidents........ to show for instance whether someone fell from a scooter, collided with a pedestrian, a collision with another vehicle eg?

3. For the years stated in question 1, how many mobility scooters have been reported stolen and what's their estimated value?

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
