Date Responded 30 June 2020

Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

“Can you please tell me the average speed at which vehicles pass xx South View, Hazlerigg while not responding to an emergency call.
I live on a 2mph road and it seems the speed limit is constantly being broken by the police, buses, lorries and the general public.”

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

We are taking it that the speed you refer to is actually 20 mph, and not 2 mph as in your request. This does not however alter our response.
I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. We hold no information as to the average speed of vehicles going past your property.
