Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. How many drivers have been caught speeding across the force area for 2016, 2017 and so far in 2018?  a.Of those, how many have been offered a speed awareness course?  b. How many have taken up the offer?
  2. Is it possible to say how many of those are from Sunderland and again South Tyneside?
  3. Is the force able to say how much money has been received in fees per year through the course and how that money has been used?

2.It is not possible  to determine those that are from Sunderland/South Tyneside or indeed any area as this would mean looking at each individual file manually which would take in excess of 18 hours and therefore Section 12 would have been applicable and your whole request refused.  In order to provide you with the remainder of your request  this question has been discounted.
